Churachandpur, February 02 2023:
CSC/VLE Society, Churachandpur has registered a complaint against the poor functioning of the Churachandpur Employment Exchange, which is reeling under lack of basic infrastructure combined with insufficient staff.
According to the complaint lodged to Kuki Students' Organisation, Churachandpur by its president (CSC/VLE Society), the office of the district employment exchange has been functioning without basic office component including computers, electricity and furniture, apart from the shortage of staff.
All files and documents are maintained in hard copy and need to be delivered to the in-charge person in Bishnupur district, resulting in untold problems for the unemployed youths while registering their names for application of a job or two.
Taking serious view of the matter, the KSO sent a written request to the Churachandpur deputy commissioner, requesting for doing the needful at the earliest as the district employment exchange office could not fulfil public demand for it is acutely deficient in terms of staff and basic infrastructure.
The KSO also suggested an E-Employment Exchange Service under E-District Service Manipur at par with other districts for more effective public service delivery and solving public grievances.
