The 24-hours Statewide shutdown called by the JAC Against the Brutal Murder of Athuan Abonmai from September 29 midnight has been put off until further notice following a request from the Protection and Preservation Committee Manipur (PPCM) and the Lamyanba Irabot Ningsing Thouram Observation Committee in order to pay tribute to Lamyanba Hijam Irabot on his 125th birth anniversary.
Meanwhile, post mortem examination of Athuan Abonmai's body was conducted at RIMS today in the presence of some member of the JAC.

On the other hand, demanding arrest and punishment of all the culprits involved in the abduction and brutal murder of Abonmai, a number of youth and Meira Paibis blocked Imphal-Dimapur highway at Sekmai today.
