Law catches up with RIMS security officer

For his failure to hand over certain components of CCTV cameras and some important documents to the authority concerned, RIMS security in-charge Naorem Kumar has been arrested by police.
Naorem Kumar, a retired army officer was appointed as security in-charge of RIMS on contract basis and his term of service expired recently, one RIMS official told The Sangai Express.
As his service period was not extended, he should be released followed by proper handing over/taking over.
But he left his station without giving any information to any one.
Naorem Kumar was also in-charge of the CCTV cameras installed within RIMS campus.
Following an intimation from the company which installed the CCTV cameras that certain components and some important documents were not handed over when he left the institution, RIMS authority filed a complaint at Lamphel police station.
In the meantime, Naorem Kumar brought back a monitor.
Nonetheless, acting on the complaint, Lamphel Police arrested Naorem Kumar on September 20.Now the missing CCTV camera components have been installed, the company told RIMS authority.
A complaint was filed with the police on account of the strange manner he left the institution.
However, when enquired by The Sangai Express about the arrest of Naorem Kumar, Lamphel police did not give any clear response.
Militants-AR clash : A combined team of NSCN-K and ZUF clashed with troops of 27 Assam Rifles at Longke-Kilong village, Tamenglong district about 36 kms to the South East of Tousem police station.
Though it was reported that there was no casualty on either side, details are being awaited.
