23 more added to State's Covid tally

Imphal, July 09 2022:
Keeping with the recent trend of double digit rise in Covid positive cases, 23 civilians were confirmed positive out of 307 samples tested during the last 24 hours which implies a positivity rate of 7.5 per cent.
The 23 individuals who have been tested positive are residents of Imphal East (6), Imphal West (9), Bishnupur (2), Kakching (1), Ukhrul (1), Tamenglong (1) and Churachandpur (3) .
However, there is no report of any Covid related death during the last 24 hours even though the pandemic had claimed 2120 lives in the State.
Meanwhile, 11 persons who were undergoing treatment for Covid-19 have recovered and thus they have been discharged from home isolation (5) and Shija Hospital (6) .
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State stands at 1,37,412 (general population 1,32,398 and Central security personnel 5,014) .
This figure includes 130 active cases, all from general population and 1,35,162 recovered cases (general population 1,30,155 and Central security personnel 5,007) .
The recovery rate as on Saturday is 98.36 per cent.
The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 29,83,805 (first dose 15,97,930, second dose 12,66,230 and precautionary dose 1,19,645) .
Till Friday, 62.01 per cent of the State's total eligible population has received the first dose of Covid vaccine while 53.37 per cent has been given both the first and second dose.
