Dr Ranjan talks upgrading systems of DIPR

Information & Public Relations Minister Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh has stressed on the need to upgrade the existing systems and structure of Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) .
The Minister also stated that he had apprised the increasing responsibilities of the department to Chief Minister N Biren Singh so as to work out corrective measures.
Addressing a function organized by DIPR and its employee association at Nityaipat Chuthek today, S Ranjan continued that the DIPR has been taking a big role to circulate latest information and awareness on various topics to the masses.
The Minister assured that he will address the genuine problems of the department on priority basis, apart from formulating a proper policy to ensure smooth functioning of DIPR.

Commissioner IPR M Harekrishna also attended the programme as guest of honour.
He said that any issue of the department can be solved analytically, 'but it is the sincerity and dedication of the employees which will ensure overall development of the DIPR' .
Director of DIPR H Balkrishna Singh said that DIPR is a nodal department which highlights the policies and programmes of the Government.
Later, the IPR Minister released the annual administrative report of the department after inaugurating the Terrace Mini Garden at DIPR complex.
The Minister also inspected different sections of the department.
Additional Director of IPR W Phajatombi, Deputy Directors, officers and staff of DIPR also attended the programme.
