A new customer service centre (CSC) of BSNL, Manipur has been opened at its Sangaiprou Telephone Exchange.
The centre was inaugurated by J Ganta, General Manager, Manipur SSA during a simple function today.
Speaking at the occasion, Ganta said that CSC is an interface and it would help the people living in remote areas in overcoming the problem of communication gap.
Special tariff for rural people at lower price is also in the project, Ganta added.
The newly inaugurated CSC is said to be an effort of BSNL, Manipur to provide the 3rd single-widow multi-service counter wherein various facilities pertaining to BSNL services would be extended to BSNL customers similar to the other two CSCs in the city at Babuapara and Lamphel Telephone exchanges.
BSNL Manipur also has a plan to open another two CSCs in this financial year 2011-12 at Khuman Lampak and Canchipur (Manipur University) so as tom make the services available conveniently in all areas of the city to help the customers.
