Recently appointed State unit president of the BJP A Sharda Devi today left for New Delhi on a four day visit to the National capital.
During her visit to Delhi, A Sharda Devi is lined up to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP National president JP Nadda and a host of other high ranking leaders of the saffron party.
The State unit president of the BJP is expected to convey the gratefulness of the people of Manipur on the recent induction of Lok Sabha MP Dr RK Ranjan in the Council of Ministry as the MoS for External Affairs and Education.
Gratitude will also be extended for the induction of other MPs from the North East region in the Union Cabinet and the Ministry, said a statement issued by the BJP Manipur Pradesh.

State BJP unit general secretary P Premananda said the primary reason for Sharda's visit to New Delhi is to extend gratefulness for inducting Dr RK Ranjan in the Council of Ministers and also to thank the Central BJP leadership for giving due space to MPs elected from the North East region in the latest Ministry expansion at the Centre.
The State BJP president will also brief the Central leadership on the works taken up by the BJP, Manipur unit to strengthen the party and the future course of works that will be taken up A later report reaching here said that A Sharda was received at the Delhi airport by members of the Delhi BJP Mahila Morcha.
This is Sharda's first visit to Delhi after being appointed as the State unit president of the BJP by JP Nadda on June 26 after the demise of S Tiken, the former State unit president of the BJP.
