September 3 ordered the police to produce the eleven women, who have been booked under the National Security Act (NSA) for allegedly burning the Indian National Flag before the Court for further hearing on September 17.The order was issued after the police failed to produce the women before the Court on September 3, case dossiers said.
The eleven women who have been booked under the NSA have been identified as K Romoni Devi, P Kundaleima, S Thaja, L Mema, N Mornom, N Kunje, A Sushila, W Tombi, P Memchoubi, S Momom and L Bilashini Devi.
All are members of a meira paibi group of Sagolband area.
They were arrested by the police on charges of burning the National flag and are being remanded to judicial custody by the court.
Earlier they were released by the CJM on bail but they failed to furnish the necessary bonds for which they underwent to judicial custody.
Police booked them under section 435/504/124-A IPC and section 2 of prevention of Insult to National Honour Act 1971.The arrested women were detained under NSA by the concerned dist magistrate.
