BB Paul Mental Development Home extends gratitude to Govt

The State Government has approved the conversion of BB Paul Mental Development Home at Mongsangei in Imphal West to a full fledged Government's Special School.
The same was approved in the State Cabinet meeting which was held yesterday.
The teachers and staff of the Home lauded the decision and expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister N Biren Singh in a simple ceremony held today at BB Paul Mental Development Home adhering to Covid SOPs.
Speaking on the occasion, the Head Mistress of the Home, Takhellambam Anita said that the home was established on February 18, 1990 for the differently abled persons in the society.
For a long time the Home was running from the support rendered by well wishers without any form of grants from the Government's side, she added.
She continued that considering the hardships faced by the Home, the State BJP Govt led by Chief Minister N Biren Singh started providing grant in aids to the Home from March 18, 2018.She maintained that there are 137 (one hundred and thirty seven) students in total including those staying in the boarding and day scholars at present.
Lauding the decision of the Government to convert the Home into a full fledged Government's Special School, she extended best wishes to the Government and prayed for success in all the future initiatives.
