Imphal, June 07:
The Khaplang faction of the NSCN has categorically declared that the NSCN's stand for a sovereign Naga country comprising all the Nagas and Naga-inhabited areas can not be challenged by the "fraternal" Manipuris, Assamsese and Arunachallis.
It also declared that the NSCN's struggle for the Naga's right to self-determination will not be compromised at any cost.
The NSCN (K) declaration came close on the heels of the NSCN (IM)'s counter allegation against the AMUCO and like minded organizations and individuals of being ignorant of their won history while opposing extension of the cease- fire between the government of India and the NSCN (IM) to Naga- inhabited areas of Manipur.
Reacting to reports of the AMUCO's firm opposition to extension of the cease-fire between the GoI and the NSCN (IM) to the territories of Manipur, a statement issued by the ministry of information and publicity, GPRN, said the geographic disintegration of the ' Naga country now within and outside the Indian sub-continent was effected by some imperialist policy based on economic opportunism.
The statement, signed by Kughalu Multonu, deputy kilonser, information and publicity affairs, GPRN, copies of which have been addressed to the president/convenor of AMUCO and all organizations of Naga-inhabited areas, asserted that Naga soils couldn't be ceded to other community or other communities' territory.
" When Nagas do not want to live under Indian rule, how can live under Indian rule, how can Nagas let others to confiscate their inhabitation?" said the statement adding, however, that the NSCN does not want an inch of land belonging to any other nation.
