Education Minister assures delivery of Govt schemes

Education and Legislative Affairs Minister Th Basan-takumar Singh has assured to make sure that Government schemes reach the people without any form of discrimination.
He made the statement while distributing Manipur Old Age Pension and Chief Minister's Widow Pension Scheme cards at Nambol Bazar community hall today.
The pension card distribution function was organi- sed by the Social Welfare Department .
The event was attended by Th Basantakumar Singh as the chief guest; W Birahari Singh, Deputy Director, Social Welfare Department as the functional president and N Jotish Singh, District Social Welfare Officer; Th Rabindra Singh, Executive Officer Nambol Municipal Council; Ch Basanta Singh, former Chairperson Nambol Municipal Council; N Sarat Singh, former Pradhan Utlou GP; N Birjit Singh, former Pradhan, Sanjenbam-Pukhrambam GP and W Deven Singh, former Pradhan, Ishok GP as the guests of honour.

Speaking as the chief guest, Th Basantakumar Singh stated that under the supervision of the Chief Minister, the State Government has been trying to extend the reach of Central schemes.
The efforts of the Social Welfare Department in this regard has led to today's distribution of old age pension and CM's Widow Pension Scheme cards, he added.
Basantakumar maintained that in Nambol constituency, people will not be discriminated based on party (political) lines, instead, efforts will be made for the collective development of the people.
As such, he urged people to provide their valuable suggestions without any hesitation and help one another to bring advancement in the region.
Altogether 312 senior citizens received old age pension and 132 widows received pension cards for the Chief Minister's Widow Pension Scheme.
