20 Manipuri Muslims in Al Qaeda camp?

In a startling revelation, intelligence reports suggest that 20 Muslim youngsters of the State have gone for training under the world's most dreaded terrorist organisation Al Qaeda.
Well placed sources informed that it was not long ago the 20 youngsters went for training under Al Qaeda.
But it is not clear in which country they were heading for.
The 20 youngsters who went to undergo military training under Al Qaeda belong to Imphal East, Thoubal and Chandel districts.
Talking about the startling revelation, DGP MK Das disclosed that they have received certain inputs though there is no official verification as yet.
On being enquired if there is any movement of Al Qaeda in Manipur, the DGP said that security forces had not de-tected sign of Al Qaeda movement in the State so far.
Recently, Assam Rifles apprehended two Saudi Arabian nationals from Tengnoupal a few months back and they were handed over to NIA for proper investigation.
Notably NIA was investigating whether the two Saudi Arabian nationals have any link with Al Qaeda or any other terrorist organisation.
Meanwhile, two police officers of the State have left for Delhi for questioning the three Manipuris who were apprehended with pseudoephedrine drugs worth Rs 10 crore at Delhi by Delhi Police a few days back.
Stating that certain information can be obtained after questioning the trio, the DGP informed that Manipur Police would initiate due process to bring them back to Manipur, if necessary or in case they are found involved in other cases.
