CRPF honours 'Jewel Ismat of India'

Mohammad Ismat, who topped the class XII examination conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education, has been felicitated by the 69 Bn CRPF at its Mantripukhri headquarters today.
Commandant of the CRPF unit Rakesh kumar Singh presented memento and gifts to honour Ismat's achievement.
Hailing Ismat as 'Jewel of india', Rakesh kumar said Ismat coming out in flying colours in class XII examination is an occasion for every citizen to rejoice.
Someone like Ismat, who resides about 16 kilometre from Imphal, performing excellently at the all India level is no mean achievement, expressed the Commandant who added that every student should strive to emulate Ismat's feat.
Exhorting all the student community to remain focus on their academic chores to achieve their respective aim and objectives, Rakesh also asserted that if the students concentrate on their studies and security forces perform their duty in a judicious manner peace in the State can be guaranteed.
The CO also expressed that feat of Md Ismat is the true reflection of the indian Philosophy "Adapt to any condition, cultivate patience and remain focus on the goal" .
Affirming that CRPF is serving Manipur in the most humble and human way so that it becomes a prosperous and progressive State, he also maintained that Ismat's success is the indicator of peace and happiness returning to Manipur.
Deputy Commandant RV Philip in his address said Md Ismat has made every Manipuri proud and termed his (Ismat) success as not only linking Manipuri culture with mainstream India 'but now it is leading the ethos the new indian will follow in coming days' .
sharing his experience, Ismat said inspite of facing financial, health and electricity problems while preparing for the examination he was determined to excel and thus work very hard to achieve the goal.
He also lamented that due to frequent strikes and bandhs in Manipur students endure severe inconveniences in attending school as well as taking private tuition.
Besides officers and jawans of 69 Bn CRPF, the unit's Deputy Commandant RV Philip and Ismat's father Md Bashirur Rahman also attended the felicitation programme.
The CRPF jawans and officials gave a standing ovation and grand salute to honour Ismat's success.
Meanwhile, felicitation function for Md Ismat and Yumkhaibam Sabir, who passed the recently declared civil Services Examination conducted by the UPSC, was held at Lilong Haoreibi College ground.
gifts were presented to Ismat and Sabir during the reception programme organised by Anjuman Islah-e-Muashrah in collaboration with 28 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector and attended by Agriculture Minister Md Abdul Nashir as the chief guest.
Expressing confidence that Yumkhaibam Sabir will carry forth his good work and dedication as a public administrator, Abdul Nashir also exhorted Ismat to strive for more excellence and sought cooperation of the people to help the brilliant student in pursuing higher studies.
He also applauded the anti-drug campaign being carried out by the Anjuman besides pledging to provide 100 litres of petrol to sustain the Muslim organisation's drive against anti-social elements, particularly drug dealers.
He also assured that Rs 5 lakh would be handed over to the Anjuman for building construction of the anti-drug campaigners.
Large quantity of drugs seized during the Anjuman's drives were also destroyed by burning with the Agriculture Minister lighting the fire at Lilong Ushoipokpi ground.
Later in the evening, the Minister, who had announced cash award to Md Ismat, handed over Rs 1,11,111 to the CBSE conducted class XII topper in the Minister's office chamber at manipur Secretariat.
