When people get fully realised about various strategies being adopted in elections to accumulate wealth, distribution of money in whatever amount be it in lakhs or thousands would not be able to phange mindset of the people during election time.
"Unaccounted amount of money is being utilised in elections nowadays but I believe a stage will come where no amount of money could buy vote once people realise that the money distributed in elections also includes souls of youth who are pillars of future generation.
Having firm belief in reaching this stage and positive indication of reaching this stage in the upcoming, I decided to contest the election with this strength", Brinda said, adding that a free and fair election will be possible in the state when people are made aware that money distributed in elections were actually collected from them.
About Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (AFSPA), Brinda said that there are two kinds of law, a right one and wrong one, and if a law is wrong one it has to be either repealed or amendment made.
If a law allows a person to be shot dead on mere suspicion, then the law is a wrong one and such laws like AFSPA should be scrapped as it greatly affects public, she added.
Saddened by increasing election related violence in some parts of the state, Brinda said that people should raise their voice collectively and launch a movement together to stop such violence as such violence demean democracy.
