Three truckloads of fertilizer seized

Churachandpur, June 23 2022:
Churachandpur district police seized three trucks loaded with 600 kg of fertilizers at Tuning village, Sangaikot on Wednesday.
According to sources, based on specific inputs three police teams were set up to trace trucks carrying fertilizers and they found them at Turning village, Sangaikot sub-division.
The trucks remained stationary since Monday night after getting information that the AR had started blocking truck carrying fertilizers at Joupi.
As per initial investigation, the main person, who purchased the consignment, has been identified as one Lianpu of Jordan village, Chandel district.
The goods were brought by trucks from Imphal up to Khomoi, Churachandpur, on June 20 around 11 pm and transhipped to the trucks seized by the police teams.
One Thangneo of Heijang village, near Khomoi, was the broker of the consignment and it was purchased from one Surjit Singh, a fertilizer dealer from Thinungei village, Bishnupur.
Each of the seized trucks was loaded with 200kg of fertilizer.
The truck (MP 094E- 6178) owned by Lunthong of K Sabi, Sugnu was driven by one Mangminlian of Turning village, while the other bearing registration MN 04 7993 and owned by Thaneo of Heijang, Churachandpur was driven by Thangboi Haokip of M Phimol, Churachandpur.
The third one (MN04A-6729) owned by Suasuan of Tuining was driven by Paoboi of Tuining, the sources said.
