Aid extended to snake bite, accident victims

Imphal, August 14 2022:
Loktak Battalion of IGAR (S) Saturday extended lifesaving medical assistance to one Ngamkahao (48) a resident of New Kingpin village in Bishnupur district who was bitten by a venomous snake on Saturday.
According to PRO IGAR (S), Ngamkahao was rushed by the villagers to the Kangvai Unit hospital of Assam Rifles with symptoms of swelling, mild fever, vomiting and headache since the time of bite.
The Assam Rifles medical team immediately rendered lifesaving medical care and stabilised his condition.
He was referred to district hospital for further management.
On the other-hand, Khuga Battalion of 27 Sector Assam Rifles extended lifesaving medical assistance to a 34 years old man of Gangpimual village in Churachandpur district who was bitten by a snake at 3.30 pm on Thursday.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the Individual was brought to Unit Hospital 46 Assam Rifles by the fellow villagers with the symptoms of pain and swelling at the bite site and dilated pupil.
The medical staff rendered lifesaving medical care and anti-venom and stabilised his condition, after which he was referred to Churachandpur district hospital.
Meanwhile, Shangshak Battalion on Sunday extended lifesaving medical assistance to a 30-year old resident of Shangshak village in Ukhrul district who met an accident on Sunday.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the person was rushed by the villagers to Assam Rifles Medical hospital at Shangshak and rendered lifesaving medical care to stabilise her condition.
