Heirok clash: Parties in dispute demand justice

Both parties involved in the October 25 evening incident in Heirok Part 2 Thokchom Leikai have urged all concerned to bring out the truth behind the incident and deliver justice.
Addressing newspersons at Manipur Press Club here on Thursday, Abujam Tilotama, mother of Abujam Ramananda of Heirok Kabo Leikai, who reportedly got injured in the incident and is currently undergoing treatment at Raj Medicity, said that her son is the driver of Heirok MLA Th Radheshyam's father.
Ramananda was badly beaten up by two brothers namely Thokchom Romen and Thokchom Romeo at Heirok Part 2 Thokchom Leikai while returning home on October 25 evening, she said, adding that her son is still in a critical condition.
While refuting'allegations levelled against Ramananda that he torched a house, Tilotama said that her son did not commit any crime but he was attacked while returning home after keeping the vehicle driven by him.
She then urged all concerned to bring out truth about the incident and deliver justice.
On the other hand, Thokchom Romen of Heirok Part 2 Thokchom Leikai told media persons at Manipur Press Club that some unidentified people wearing helmets intruded into his house on October 25 evening while he was teaching his children and damaged several household materials without giving any reason.
When he raised alarm to save himself and his family from the perpetrators, his brother Romeo came to help him and both of them tried to defend themselves from the attackers, Romen recounted.
While stating that he did not know why the unidentified people attacked him, Romen said categorically refuted the allegation that he attacked a man with a spade.
He then urged all concerned to bring out truth about the incident and deliver justice apart from letting him know reason for attacking him.
