NE leaders to discuss region's common future

The 8th edition of Young Leaders Connect (YLC) 2022, to be organised by North East Leaders Connect (NELC) here on Friday will have NE leaders discussing common future and development of the region.
Addressing a press meet at Hotel Classic Grande, here, on Thursday, NELC founder Hekani Jakhalu Kense informed that union law and justice minister Kiren Rijiju, chief patron of the conclave chief minister of Manipur N Biren, the country's youngest chief minister Pema Khandu of Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma will attend the conclave along with other young leaders of the northeast region.
The main objective of the conclave is to unite the northeast region and enhance the pace of develop ment in the region.
CM Biren and his Arunachal Pradesh counterpart Pema Khandu will launch NER Entrepreneurs World, a new project for skill mapping database of northeast region, he said.
Accomplished individuals from different fields and different northeast states will share their experiences and present motivational speeches during the conclave.
North East Young Heroes Award 2022 will also be presented during the conclave, he said.
He further informed that YLC is an annual conclave where young change-makers and leaders from diverse fields like business, politics, academia, sports, music and culture come together, put their heads and hearts together to plan where they would like to see India vis-a-vis North East in the future, plan a roadmap, and strategize on interventions at the grassroots and policy level.
Lok Sabha MP Gaurav Gogoi, BJP national spokesperson Mhonhimo Kikon, Income Tax NER Guwahati commissioner Gaichan glungliu Kamei and East Mojo editor-in-chief Karma Paljor also attended the press meet.
