Death of polo player, activists condoled

Manipuri Pony & Polo Players' Welfare Association (MP&PPWA) has condoled the death of veteran polo player and Manipuri pony conservationist Mongbijam Joychandra alias Joy who passed away on Thursday.
In a release, MP&PPWA stated that an emergency meeting of the organisation was held online on Friday during which the members prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace and shared the grief of the bereaved family.
Meanwhile, Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Manipur, All-Manipur Women's Voluntary Association (AMWOVA) and All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation deeply mourned the demise of All Jiribam Meira Paibi joint secretary Thounaojam Amurei on September 1 and Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi executive member and former general secretary of Chingtam Apunba Nupu Lup Lalam Mate on September 3.A condolence meeting was convened at AMUCO office on Friday where a two-minute silence was observed as a mark of respect to the departed souls and extended solidarity to the bereaved families in their hour of crisis.
Ching-tam Nupi Apunba Lup, KWUHAR (Tengnoupal), Centre for Women and Girls, Molnoi Area Welfare Council and ATWO (Chandel) also expressed deep condolences on demise of Lalam Mate, who also served the organisations in different capacities.
