Cleanliness fortnight, IYCD campaign launched in Thoubal

Swatch Pakwada (Cleanliness Fortnight), which will be held from August 1 to 15, and Intensive Youth Club Development (IYCD) Campaign for Lilong Block were formally launched on Tuesday at the Conference Hall of NYK Thoubal.
The IYCD Campaign of NYK Thoubal consist of different activities like motivating households for Har Ghar Thanga campaign to display Tricolour from August 13-15 and to hoist flags at youth club offices, to find stories of unsung heroes of Freedom Movement and plant tree saplings in their memories.
Other activities include Intensifying Covid Vaccination Drive in Lilong Block for better protection from Covid and affiliation of Youth Clubs under Lilong Block and update of data of members of youth club, social media on-boarding of youth clubs for effective display of activities as well as instant dissemination of important information from the government.
Thoubal District Family Welfare officer Ksh Memcha Devi, Nehru Yuva Kendra district youth officer Michael Thangminlien Mate, NYK DACYP member Konsam Lokendro Singh and Association of Voluntary Blood Donors (AVBD) Thoubal secretary Th Nabakumar Singh were present at the launch programme.
The officers briefed the volunteers about different activities they have to take up during the cleanliness fortnight.
As part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, a Blood Donation Camp will also be jointly organised by NYK and AVBD Thoubal under the aegis of District Administration on August 13 to commemorate Patriots' Day.
