Andro AC shutdown warned over urea issue

Imphal, July 02 2022:
Poiroupat Loukol Farmers' Development Cooperative Society Limited organised a sit-in protest at the playground of United Muslim Organisation at Yairipok Tulihal and warned of imposing a 48-hour total shutdown in Andro AC if the authority fails to provide urea to the farmers by July 5 .
Interacting with the media, Society's secretary Khullem Tomchou said that they have been demanding the government for timely provision of urea for long.
He demanded the government to provide their share of urea by July 5 failing which they will call a 48-hour total shutdown in Andro AC.
He, however, informed that medical emergency, religious and essential services will be exempted from the purview of the total shutdown.
