Kahulong village declares support to Huri Golmei

Tamenglong, October 27 2021:
A 'declaration of full support cum blessing programme' for Huri Golmei, who is BJP Manipur Pradesh executive member and intending BJP candidate from 53-Tamenglong Assembly Constituency in the upcoming assembly election, was held at Kahuiong village in Tamenglong district on Wednesday.
The programme was organised by Kahuiong Village Pei and Village Authority.
The declaration of support was announced during the event and the declaration memo handed over to the aspirant candidate by chairman of Kahuiong village Kiuinganang Gonmei with a blessing prayer led by Reverend Namreikeu Pame, Pastor, Zeme Baptist Church, Tamenglong.
Spelling out his agenda, Huri Golmei said that if gets elected his topmost priority would be to bring in better road connectivity including inter-village roads, uninterrupted power supply, better education system, women empowerment; focus on tourism and health sector, afforestation and Barak River Bank Development programme.
He also promised maximum government schemes to benefit people at the grassroots level.
Huri assured the Kahuiong villagers that under his initiative the road which connects NH-137 and Kahuiong will be blacktopped.
The progress reports from various ADC segments by the representatives of Dailong, Inriangluang, Tharon, Haochong, Awangkhul, Akhui and Khongjaron were also presented, during the programme held in the presence of former BJP state president Meinam Bhorot; BJP Tamenglong iii-charge Th Yumjao Singh; senior party worker H Nando Singh; Huri's election agent RK Ajin; election committee chairman Guilang Gangmei; and leaders of Yuva Morcha and Mahila Morcha.
Speaking at the event, M Bhorot contended that within four and half years, the BJP led government under chief minister N Biren has done tremendous works which could not be accomplished by Congress in 15 years.
Bandhs, blockades and strikes have comparatively decreased under the BJP government and the relationship between the people of the hills and valley is getting better and better.
Many welfare schemes have been implemented to uplift the underprivileged people who avail direct benefit transfer, which was absence during the previous government, he added.
BJP Tamenglong in-charge Th Yumjao Singh mentioned in his speech that Huri Golmei grew up in a humble family and he has the potential and calibre to be elected as a representative in the forthcoming election.
Yumjao sought people's blessing and support for Huri so as tcr bring changes and development.
Blankets and carry bags were also distributed to elders and needy people by the aspirant candidate on the occasion.
