Night curfew shortened, Ima Keithel to open

Imphal, September 22 2021:
The state government has ordered more relaxation in activities with night curfew to be strictly enforced from 8.30 pm to 4 am, while three Ima Keithel and Temporary Market have been allowed to reopen.
In an order, State Executive Committee chairman and chief secretary Dr Rajesh Kumar said that the directive will be in force for 30 days with effect from Wednesday in the entire state.
Social gatherings/feasts continue to be non-permissible, while the new permitted activity include opening of three Ima Keithel and Temporary Market will be subject to preparation of schedule for the vendors as per procedure prescribed; markets/keithels in other parts of the state can open with 50 per cent capacity with district administrations concerned ensuring adequate physical distance between them and all of them wear masks; restaurants and cafes are allowed to open from 10 am to 8 pm subject to ensuring Covid Appropriate Behaviour and also ensuring that the customers inside the eating area do not exceed 50 per cent capacity, it stated.
The order further said that banks, insurance and postal offices can function normally and public transport buses are allowed to ply with passengers not exceeding 50 per cent capacity.
All passengers, driver and helpers will wear mask with police and district administration seeing to it that the capacity limit is complied with, it further directed.
Meanwhile, district magistrates of Bishnupur and Tengnoupal have issued orders for enforcing night curfew from 8.30 pm to 4 am, opening of markets/keithel, restaurants/cafes and public buses subject to Covid Appropriate Behaviour and 50 per cent capacity, in their respective districts.
