Agri employees suspend agitation, to donate to CM CRF

Imphal, June 22 2021:
All Manipur Agriculture Department Employees' Welfare Association (AMADEWO) has announced that the ongoing agitation against the appointment of an MCS officer as Director of Agriculture will be suspended till improvement in the Covid-19 situation.
In a statement, AMADE-WO general secretary L San-atomba Singh informed that an executive committee held on June 19 under the chairmanship of its president Ch Sarat Singh resolved to sus-pend the agitation considering the need for service delivery of employees of the Department to overcome the hardships faced by the farmers of the state amid the pandemic situation.
It also informed that one day's pay of all the employees under the Department of Agriculture shall be donated to the Chief Minister's Covid-19 Relief Fund.
All heads of sub offices/DDOs of the Department have also been urged to deduct one day's pay of the employees for the month of June and deposit the collective amount to the CM CRF.
