NAB arrests four with 625 gm heroin

Imphal, October 17 2021:
A team of Narcotics & Affairs of Border (NAB) police station arrested four persons with 625 gm of heroin from near Sawombung bridge in Imphal East district on Saturday.
The four have been identified as Mangtinsat Lhungdim (24), son of Chunglet Lhungdim of M Mollum village, Churachandpur district; Thangminlal Baite (28), son of Chomkhijang Baite of Moreh Ward No.VIII, Tengnoupal district; Chingsonnuam (27), wife of Chinkhantung of Zoumunnuam village, Churachandpur district and Veineithem Gangte (31), wife of Kamlienlal Gangte of N Gamkhai Veng, Moulhoi Part I, Tengnoupal district.
According to report, the NAB team halted a Bolero car (MN-06LA 6865) coming from western side of Sawombung bridge with four occupants.
When searched, the team recovered 625 gm of heroin from their possession.
On further interrogation, they revealed of involvement in smuggling of drugs from Myanmar to Manipur and brought the seized heroin from a drug dealer in Myanmar and were taking it to a place in Imphal East district.
A case in this regard has been registered at NAB police station.
