Officials appreciate unique vaccination drive in Khurai AC

As announced under the keen initiative of Khurai MLA L Susindro, distribution of 5kgs of rice each to individuals who came out to get COVID-19 vaccine at the vaccination centre opened in Khurai AC has begun and government officials have appreciated this unique way of conducting vaccination programme to encourage public to come out.
The vaccination centre opened for Khurai under the joint aegis of local MLA Susindro, district administration and CMO Imphal East at Nongmaileima community hall was inspected by principal secretary (health) V Vumlunmang, DC (Imphal East) Diana Khumanthem, SDO Pooja Elangbam and NHM State Mission director Dr N Shyamjai.
During the inspection, V Vumlunmang appreciated the unique way of COVID-9 vaccination at the centre and said that providing rice and COVID-19 preventive items to those who came out for vaccination will help in achieving the target of administering vaccine to entire people of the state.
Dr N Shyamjai also said that timely vaccination will help in prevention of the infectious disease and appealed to people to support the vaccination programme taken up by the government.
He also called for a collective effort to accelerate the rate of vaccination and urged people to come out for vaccination.
Meanwhile, Assembly Segment Covid Awareness and Enforcement Committee, Khurai co-ordinator Amba Sanjenbam said that the mass vaccination in respect of Khurai AC on June 22 will be held at Khurai Popular High School and Sawombung Kabui Khunou.
Amba also appealed to clubs interested in conducting mass vaccination programme to contact the committee.
