Anish begins environmental awareness run in Delhi

Imphal, March 15 2023:
Environment activist Anish Ahamad has kicked off his 8th environmental awareness solo in the national capital Delhi under the Make Indian Green Campaign on the theme 'Green Delhi, Green NCR, Save Sparrow, Save Forest, Save Wildlife and Avoid Single Use Plastic' .
Anish Ahamad's environmental campaign is being supported by the department of forest, Government of Delhi under the supervision of chief conservator of forests, Delhi and deputy conservator of South Delhi.
The solo marathon was flagged off from Asola wildlife Sanctuary, Tughlakabad, NCT Delhi by Section Officer Administration DCF South Delhi Rakesh Malik and Bombay Natural History Education Centre, South Delhi education assistant Akshay Dwivedi.
Under the supervision of deputy conservator of forest, South Delhi Mandeep Mital, Anish Ahamad will cover 120km in NCT Delhi in four days and spread environment awareness among people across Delhi.
Mention may be made here that Anish Ahamad, who hails from Bishnu-pur district, has carried out similar environmental awareness marathon in three Northeastern states namely Meghalaya, Tripura and Manipur seven times in the past six years.
