'Vaccine Express' flagged off in CCpur

To speed up the COVID-19 vaccination campaign in Churachandpur district, additional DC (development) Khaikhopau Ngaihte on Tuesday flagged off 10 'Vaccine Express' vehicles from the premises of District Immunization Office, Churachandpur.
Speaking on the occasion, Khaikhopau Ngaihte informed that three teams will concentrate on ensuring vaccination of students in different schools and colleges of the district and six other teams will carry out the same task at villages with low vaccination rate.
He urged medical teams to provide accurate scientific information about the vaccine and explain its importance in the fight against the pandemic.
"We are hoping to vaccinate 80-90 percent of the population by the end of this month," he added.
Ngaihte also urged village chiefs, village authority members and youth clubs to help and support the medical teams and provide them with food and shelter during their stay.
The teams will interact with the villagers and spend a night or two in different villages to vaccinate maximum number of people.
