Cleanliness drive marks PM Modi birthday event

Employees and health workers of Singngat sub-district hospital joined the country in the celebration of the 72nd birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi by organising a cleanliness drive on Tuesday.
The drive was organised in collaboration with the BJP Singngat Mandal.
Singhat former MLA GS Haupu was the chief guest of the programme while BJP Singngat president Kamlianthang and ex-MDG Pumtulthang were the special guests.
In his speech, the chief guest lauded the N Biren-led BJP government for ensuring good administration in-spite of great difficulties, saying that it is under the chief minister's love and concern for the people that a remote border village like Singngat has become the focus of attention and is made highly accessible now.
GS Haupu further said that Singngat PHC was upgraded to CHC and then to the status of SDH because of the chief minister and lauded Biren for his various development initiatives in terms of opening PHC where it is needed, setting up of higher secondary schools, arid improvement of road communication to name a few.
He also thanked the doctors and nurses of the hospital for their dedicated service during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Stating he has been in touch with responsible officials, Haupu informed that all requisite infrastructures will be installed.
Later, 181 students of St Joseph's School, Rayburn High School, Govt Hr Sec School and Lyzon Freindship School were administered Covid doses.
