Imphal, March 13 2023:
Stating that the decision of the state cabinet for additional 43 seats of SDC through selection from among candidates in the waiting list of the MPSC CCE 2016 (2022) is not acceptable and should be withdrawn, the Group of MPSC Aspirants (GOMA) has urged the authority concerned to increase the seats in the upcoming MPSC exam slated for April 2023.Addressing media persons at Manipur Press Club here on Monday, GOMA spokesperson Dihemlung Golmei stated that following controversy of the MPSC CCE 2016 (2022), the Manipur High Court and the Supreme Court had cancelled the examination and is under CBI investigation.
The court had also terminated the 82 posts which were selected and following the court's judgment, MPSC conducted MCS 2016 (2022) Mains and Personality test and declared the final results on November 22, 2022 .
However, a case is still pending in the court over the final result as there were many faults in the declared results.
Therefore, the decision of the state cabinet to add 43 seats for SDC by picking up from the waiting list will create more controversy over the already chaotic MPSC exam.
He further informed that the additional 43 seats for SDC will create issues in the Exam Conduct Rules for Mains and Personality Test Selection ratio of MPSC in addition to curtailing the rights, equal opportunities and fairness of the MPSC MCS CCE 2022 aspirants.
