NESO calls for stir

Imphal, February 12 2014:
A joint between of All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU) and All Assam Students' Union (AASU) held in the presence of North East Students' Union (NESO) officials at Guwahati on February 10 with Samuel B Jyrwa, Chairman of NESO in the Chair, discussed about the incidents which took place at New Delhi recently leading to the death of Arunachal student Nido Tania, physical assault of two girls from Manipur and the rape of one minor girl from Manipur, as well the prevailing border tension in between Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.
The meeting resolved that NESO will organize an agitation programme at Guwahati on 14th February, 2014 in front of Raj Bhawan from 11 am to 2 p.m and on the same day, the member units of NESO namely All Assam Students Union (AASU), All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU), All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU), Khasi Students' Union (KSU), Garo Students' Union (GSU), Nagaland Students' Federation (NSF), Mizo zirlai Paul (MZP), Twipra Students federation (TSF) will submit memorandum to the President of India and Prime Minister of India through their respective State Governors.
Furthermore, it was resolved that a NESO team will visit Delhi just after the agitation program to be held on 14th February, 2014 .
