Distribution of relief items continues

In continuation of the assistance provided to the people, 'Nine is Mine' and New Life Foundation - Manipur in association with Childline Bishnupur provided Covid relief items to Glory Children Home, Adoption Centre, CHC Moirang, Moirang Police Station, Vocational and Life Skill Training Centre Ningthoukhong, today.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr L Pishak Singh, Director Childline Bishnupur stated that preparations have been made to provide assistance to the children orphaned by COVID-19 and others suffering due to the pandemic.
United Club Organisation Bishnupur District (UCOBID) and Bishnupur District COVID-19 Task Force under the supervision of AMUCO also handed over medicines including AYUSH-64 and Arsenic Album 30 to the volunteers of Bishnupur District COVID-19 Task Force, Bishnupur Ward No 4, yesterday.
As a part of the programme, Bishnupur District COVID-19 Task Force medical in charge, Th Johnson and Bishnupur Ward No 4 ex-Councillor, S Bimota also provided food items to the needy people of the area.
IMPHAL
Similarly, social worker Wahengbam Dineshchandra Singh also distributed face masks, sanitizers, medicines and food items to 34 households in the containment zone of Heinoubok under Patsoi AC.
Speaking on the occasion, Dineshchandra Singh stated that the relief items were distributed to support the families suffering in the containment zone due to the COVID-19 pandemic and assured to provide similar assistance in the future.
KAKCHING
Likewise, Wabagai Assembly Constituency ex-MLA, Dr Usham Deben distributed 10 Kg rice each to 800 households of Maibam Konjil, Uchiwa Wangma & Sekmaijin Mayai Leikai under Wabagai AC today.
The distribution programme was conducted in collaboration with Maibam Social Welfare Club, Maibam Konjil Social Progressive Organisation, Kanglei Inat Sindam Lup, Uchiwa Wangma Popular Welfare Club, Youth Social Development Association and volunteers of Sekmaijin Mayai Leikai.
He also provided Wheel Chairs to two individuals of Maibam Konjil.
Moreover, Dr Usham Deben also provided food items to the inmates of Community Home Isolation Centres (CHICs) opened at Wabagai High School and Wabagai Awang Leikai Primary School yesterday.
THOUBAL
Heirok Block Congress Committee COVID-19 Fighting Unit also distributed essential food items to 231 households of Chandrakhong village under 33-Heirok Assembly Constituency today.
Speaking on the occasion, Chandrakhong Social Welfare Club president, Khangembam Tomba stated that in the mass testing conducted at Chandrakhong village on July 26/27, 37 persons were found COVID-19 positive out the 320 persons tested while adding that the total number of active cases stands at 48 in the village.
Besides, social worker Kharibam Jivan also distributed food items to about 500 households of Charangpat GP Ward No 6, Haokha Mamang, Tangjeng under Wangkhem AC today.
