KCC honours its pastor Rev J Lunkim

Kangpokpi Christian Church (KCC) honoured its pastor Rev Janglet Lunkim, who is known for his effective counselling, dedicated service and trustworthiness, during an event held at the church on Friday.
The event was organised by executives of the Church cabinet (Upa Ngapdet) and other departments such as KCU (men), KCN (women), KCK (youth) and Board of Sunday School.
Manipur Synod executive secretary Dr T Lunkim, assistant executive secretary Rev Hemlet Singson, Dr Satkai Chongloi and other Synod leaders also attended the event.
Rev J Lunkim became the pastor of Kangpokpi Christian Church in 1988 apart from serving as moderator of Gamkai secretary, Sah Gamkai, Gospel Missionary Board chairman of Kuki Christian Church.
He also served as chairman of Manipur Synod Christian Education Board.
According to the Church secretary Letgou-len Khongsai, Rev Lunkim has been instrumental in making KCC become the largest Church in terms of members and size not only in Kangpokpi district headquarters but also in the entire hill districts of the state.
There were only 27 household members in KCC in 1986 but now under the leadership of Rev J Lunkim, KCC has almost 400 household members.
Members of Kangpokpi Christian Church (KCC), Church executives, KCU, KCN, KCK, Board of Sunday School in groups and individuals presented gift to pastor Rev J Lunkim and his wife Kimlhai Lunkim.
Rev J Lunkim, while conveying his heartfelt gratitude to the church members, executives, and various department leaders for their love and concern, said that all things that the church has accomplished till now are all because of unity, collective efforts and struggles of the church members and the blessing from the above.
He also remembered seven of his colleagues who had already left for their heavenly abode and paid his highest tribute and honour to them.
