Kakching bodies air shortcomings to CM

Kakching, October 29 2021:
Representatives of several clubs and organisations in Kakching district met chief minister N Biren on Friday and raised several demands.
A team of 18 members met the CM at his bungalow and discussed the grievances and shortages in the constituency as well as the district including issues in district administration, Health, Covid fund, market/commercial activities, agriculture, water and sanitation, education, roads and drainage, sports and environment.
The team highlighted lack of infrastructure in the district and urged for constructing government quarters for district administration, police and hospital.
Regarding missing of Kakching district in the district column in e-form submission for various purposes, they demanded inclusion of the same at the earliest.
The team pressed for upgrading Community Health Centre, Kakching and sending at-least three more specialist doctors in medicine, pediatrics and surgery.
They also demanded setting up of AYUSH hospital in the district, a multi-storeyed market complex in tune with changing times, parking spaces, cleaning and expanding Kakching Ethei main canal, constructing concrete retaining wall, roads and drainage system properly among others.
The clubs and organisations also urged the CM to restrict igniting of forest fire, earth quarrying in the hills, deforestation and declaration of the hills in and around Kakching as community reserved forest.
