Wari Leeba festival concludes

A five-day Wari Leeba festival organised by Repertory of Wari Leeba Manipur in association with Shri Shri Radha Madhop Sat Sanga Lup has concluded at Shri Shri Radha Madhop Mandop, Wahengbam Leikai, Imphal on Sunday.
Manipur Cultural Council president Kangjam Radha-kumar, Repertory of Wari Leeba president Khom-dram Surendra and YSCU Wahengbam Leikai advisor Wahengbam Jadumani at tended the closing ceremony as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Kangjam Radhakumar expressed concern over the declining popularity of different art forms of the state many of which are disappearing gradually.
Wari Leeba is also one such art form, whose popularity is waning and as such it is the responsibility of every individual to conserve and promote such art forms, he said while lauding the contribution of the repertory in this regard.
Takhellambam Shyam-kanhai and Laikhuram Mani presented their performances on the last day of the festival.
