National Integration Tour flagged in

Maj Gen, P M Bali, VSM, GOC Red Shield Division flagged in the National Integration Tour from Agra to Mathura and back in a grand ceremony held at Leimakhong today, a PIB release said.
The tour organized by Red Shield Division comprised of 18 school children, including seven girls and two teachers hailing from different parts of Manipur.
The General Officer conveyed that the aim of the educational tour was to provide the much needed exposure to young children about varied developments that are taking place in the rest of the country and to introduce them to the culture, tradition, people and landscapes which make up 'our great Nation', and visit to various historical, cultural, educational and places of tourist interests in Agra and Mathura.
During the ceremony, the children were presented with gifts and the young students displayed a marked desire to work together towards the progress of the state and contribute towards the nation building process.
The parents of the students and the local bodies appreciated the Red Shield Division and thanked them for providing such an opportunity to their children.
The children narrated their memoirs of the tour and the ineffaceable moments they experienced.
