HGT campaign launched, walkathon organised

In celebration of the 75th year of the country's independence, 109 Bn CRPF launched 'Har Ghar Tiranga' (HGT) campaign on Monday at its Monsangei headquarters.
In a release, battalion's second-in-command Sandeep informed that the campaign was launched as a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage government, autonomous, private offices and local bodies in the surrounding areas of its headquarters to hoist the National Flag to promote the spirit of nationalism.
During the launch event, personnel of 109 Bn were briefed to honour the national flag by hoisting it in their residential premises and national flags distributed to the villagers to hoist the flag from August 13 to 15.As a part of the campaign, a walkathon was also organised which was participated by officers, jawans and members of local bodies.
The rally flagged off from the battalion headquarters covered all inter-village roads in Mongsangei area and the civil populace encouraged to hoist the tricolour in their homes from August 13 to 15 to promote patriotic feeling for the nation.
Group Centre CRPF, Langjing also conducted an awareness campaign on 'Har Ghar Tiranga Mission' at NSC Club, Khundrakpam Mayai Leikai; YLL club, Khundrakpam Makha Leikai and YDO Club, Khundrakpam Awang Leikai and distributed 2,000 national flags to the villagers.
In a release, PRO GC CRPF Langjing informed that GC DIG Madan Kumar, deputy commandant Somorani, all senior officers, SOs and jawans participated in the event.
Speaking on the occasion, DIG Madan Kumar encouraged the villag ers and requested them to hoist the tricolour flag from August 13 to 15 and urged them to participate in 'Har Ghar Tiranga Mission'; with great zeal and enthusiasm.
As part of celebrating 75 years of India's Independence and Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, Zonal Education Office Zone-III, Thoubal under the aegis of the district administration organised a rally on Monday in Thoubal district in which students from various schools participated by holding the tricolour.
Flagged off by Thoubal deputy Commissioner Ah-anthem Subash from Thoubal Wangmataba, the rally culminated at the office of ZEO Zone-III Thoubal which is located within the DC office complex.
