NPF organises political awareness campaign

Naga People's Front (NPF) Manipur Unit organized a one day political awareness campaign at Thangal General Ecological Park, Mayangkhang on Wednesday with the aim to prepare for the upcoming ADC election.
The campaign was attended by NPD Central advisor TN Mannen; Zaku, Senior Vice President of NPF; L Dikho, MLA 48-Mao A/C; Dr V Alexander Pao, MLA 47-Karong A/C; Samuel Risom, MLA 44-Ukhrul; N Awangbou Newmai, President NPF Manipur State; RK Peter, advisor for NPF Senapati Division; Th Soni Mathew, President NPF Senapati Division; Talu Dominic, General Secretary of General Administration NPF Senapati Division; NPF members, workers, public leaders and dignitaries.
In his speech, L Dikho said, "Today NPF as a party is the only hope for the Nagas.
We can enhance the integration, the emotional integration of our people and the solution of the people through the principles of the party.
Therefore, our vision, our struggle, our pursuit and commitment are for the cause of the Nagas." MLA Samuel Risom said that though the party had only four MLAs in Manipur, the party was effective through the rule of law.
MLA Dr Alexander stressed on the unity and solidarity of the NPF and said that since the party is working for the welfare of the Nagas, the social organization, church community and other civil society organizations should support the party.
Since the election for ADC is near, TA Mannen said it was "absolutely a test case for us to show or not show whether we still believe in ourselves as a Naga and still are capable of protecting and strengthening Naga interest and Naga identity." He also hoped that the NDA Government at the Centre will find an honourable solution to the Naga issue.
He said NPF was expected to win over 90 seats out of the 94 ADC seats allocated.
NPF Manipur State Unit President Awangbou Newmai affirmed the unity of NPF and the pasty was determined to work towards the common aspiration of the people.
