Managing director of Imoinu Constructions Keithellakpam Ronen provided monetary assistance, and food items to the family of Chandarn Jugeshwar (65) and Chandarn ongbi Romila (54) of Ngairangbam Mamang Leikai of Khundrakpam, both of whom are suffering from serious health conditions.
The two are at home after a brief stay in hospital as they could no longer afford to pay the hospital bill.
Considering the abject condition of the duo, Ronen provided some financial assistance and food items by visiting them personally.
According to their youngest daughter Kiyam ongbi Radha, her parents have four, daughters and no son.
All her siblings have got married and as such, there is nobody to look after her parents at home.
After both her parents were hospitalised due to a severe disease, they had to sell half of the homestead land to bear the treatment cost.
An average of Rs 10,000 per day is required for staying at hospital and they had to return home as they could no longer afford the treatment, she said while thanking Ronen for his support.
While alleging that the local MLA is turning a blind eye to such families, Ronen assured that he would provide further assistance to the family and other poor families in the constituency.

The COB Motbung also conducted a 'Freedom Run' under Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav to commemorate 75 years of India's Independence Day on August 28.The run witnessed participation by children of various age groups from different localities of Motbung area.
The run culminated at Compassion Children Home, Taloulong with distribution of prizes to podium finishing girls and boys.
