ZU condemns Dingko's act

Terming it as barbaric, Zeliangrong Union (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) has condemned the conduct of Asian Games Gold Medallist boxer and Coach Ngangom Dingko Singh who assaulted three teenaged girl-weightlifters over a petty matter of scribbling his name on his car's registration plate at Khuman Lampak (SAG) Hostel on January 13, 2014 .
In a statement, General Secretary of ZU (AMN) K Poushinglung has demanded the authority concerned to give befitting punishment to Dingko by terminating him from the post, making him to bear all the medical expenses for the treatment of the three girls till recovery and compensate for outraging the modesty of the women.
ZU has also demanded Dingko to apologise before the public of Manipur.
Stating that such inhumane meted out towards the young players is condemnable by all, ZU stated that such incident should not be repeated in future in the field of sports.
