Zogam Today celebrates 9th anniversary

Churachandpur-based Zogam Today daily celebrated its 9th foundation anniversary with a "Thanksgiving Prayer' at its office in Hmar Veng, Churachandpur on Saturday.
Zou Sangnaupang Pawlpi (ZSP-GHQ) general secretary Chinkhenpau offered a blessing prayer for the daily's editorial staff and members which was followed by a thanksgiving tea party at its office.
The programme was attended by Zogam Today editor S Nengkhanlun, joint editor Bruce K Thangkhal, assistant editor Johnson Pau Samte, sports editor Kevin Douminlian Tungdim, member Dr S Thangboi Zou and DIPR Zou translator Suanlyan Tungnung.
S Nengkhanlun gave a brief introduction on how this daily newspaper started and also thanked his team members for the constant supports since its inception.
Led by Nengkhanlun, Zogam Today team visited three orphanage homes - Vondei Sauliim (sponsored by Evangelical Lutheran Women Association, MELC) at Zomi Colony, Tunnu Limbel (sponsored by Zou Presbyterian Women Fellowship, ZPCS) at Zomi Colony, and My Home (sponsored by Dr Thangkhanmang, Thangkhal Baptist Church) at Thingkangphai and presented one plastic water tank, biscuits, chicken, eggs, and sweets.
Zogam Today started as a monthly magazine in Zou dialect, with the motto: "Our Today, Our Future and History", on May 14, 2011 .
The magazine turned into an independent daily newspaper on October 30, 2012 .
Since then, Zogam Today is promoting fair reporting, literature, media ethics, human rights awareness and environmental concerns.
