Eastern Command commander calls on CM

Imphal, July 27 2021:
General officer commanding-in-chief, of Eastern Command Lieutenant General Manoj Pande visited the field formations and forward areas of Assam Rifles on Tuesday as a part of his two-day visit to the state.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the GOC was briefed in detail by various commanders on ground about the prevailing security situation and operational preparedness.
The general officer expressed his satisfaction on the security measures and operational preparedness of the security forces.
He also complimented the AR troops for carrying out a commendable job with regards to efficiently managing the security situation in the state, said the PRO.
Earlier, the Eastern Command GOC accompanied by 3 Corps GOC and IG Assam Rifles (South) met chief minister N Biren Singh.
The general officer apprised the CM of actions being taken up by the security forces in coordination with other agencies, towards maintenance of peace and security in the state.
