NPP to apprise Centre on present crisis

Imphal, May 22 2023:
Along with party's representatives from the state, National People's Party (NPP) president and Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma would be meeting either Prime Minis-ter or Union home minister by May 28 and apprise them about factual report of the communal clash in Manipur.
As informed by NPP Mani-pur state working president L Jayantakumar, Conrad Sangma chaired a meeting of party's executive committee on Monday in New Delhi.
The present unrest in Manipur was included in the agenda of the meeting held at the highest national level and discussed the same after approval.
The meet then resolved that the party will ex-tend help both at the national and state level to bring peace and normalcy in Manipur.
Apart from L Jayantakumar, the meeting was also attended by NPP national vice president Y Joykumar, Wangoi MLA Kh Loken, Tamenglong MLA Jang-hemlung Panmei, Kshetrigao MLA Noorul Hassan, Kakching MLA M Rameshwar and Tadubi MLA N Kayisii and they pre-sented a factual report about the communal clash in Manipur.
During the meeting, Conrad Sangma also spoke on reports he received so far about the present unrest in Manipur and objected to the separate admin-istrative unit demand made by Kuki MLAs.
He also informed that the party would meet ei-ther PM Modi or Amit Shah by May 28 and apprise them about the present communal violence in Manipur and how it originated.
