Group to provide jobs

Professionals and entrepreneurs of the state joined hands and formed a group named 'Eikhoigi Thabak Supham' to provide jobs to riot-hit displaced people taking shelter in relief camps.
Speaking to media persons at Baba Fish Cen-tre located at Uripok Nambul Mapal, Eikhoigi Thabak Supham group secretary Khomdram Budha (Baba) pointed out that as the displaced people are mostly daily wagers and agricultural workers they are facing serious inconveniences.
As such, the group has been formed with the objective to mitigate some of the problems face by the displaced people and it will also pave way to provide employment to the displaced unemployed victims.
They (victims) will be given fooding, lodging and monthly salary according to their work.
Moreover facility for conducting medical check-up every 40 days will be provid-ed, he assured.
Stating that the group has the capacity to pro-vide jobs to 1000-2000 people and will generate even more employment if needed, Budha said those who need help in terms of fooding and lodging may visit Baba Fish Centre for discussion to solve their inconveniences.
