Imphal, January 11 2022:
National People's Youth Front state president and NPP intending candidate in Khurai AC Laitonjam Jayananda has said that inauguration of six projects and laying of foundation stones for seven new projects on January 7 by incumbent Khurai MLA L Susindro (Yaima) was an attempt to befool people of the constituency ahead of the election.
Addressing media persons on Tuesday at NPP Khurai unit office at Khurai Konsam Leikai, Jayananda said that as the people of Khurai AC wanted to ask certain question to the incumbent MLA regarding inauguration and laying of foundation stones on January 7, he accordingly is raising the question to the department concerned on behalf of the people.
The incumbent MLA and department concerned should answer queries so that doubt of the people over the projects could be cleared, Jayananda said, adding that raising queries should not be considered as hampering development process.
While asserting that he welcomes development and will support any development work meant for the people, Jayananda said there should be transparency and accountability while taking up development works.
He alleged that some of the projects inaugurated by Susindro on January 7 including Khurai Lamlong bazar market shed are yet to be completed and the department concerned should look into the matter seriously.
Moreover, other projects launched by the MLA have no financial sanction, he claimed.
