No development in Patsoi AC, says candidate aspirant

Wahengbam Dineshchandra, who is the proprietor of Guwahati-based M/S Joymati Pharmaceuticals, has declared that he will contest the state assembly election likely to be held in early part of 2022 from Patsoi assembly constituency.
Addressing media persons in this regard at his Patsoi residence on Sunday, Dineshchandra said that his main objective of contesting the election is to bring all round development and change in Patsoi AC which has remained undeveloped for a long time.
"Being an active member of BJP, 1 am planning to contest the election on party's ticket," Dineshchandra said and expressed hope of getting the BJP ticket in the forthcoming election.
According to Dineshchandra, Patsoi AC lies very close to Imphal city but it lacks development in almost every sector.
From road and communication to drinking water, people of the constituency are facing problems.
Around 80 percent of the population of Patsoi AC survive on agriculture and allied activities but farmers are facing problem due to lack of proper irrigation facility, he said, adding that his objective is to solve these problems and bring a change in the constituency.
Dineshchandra also said that he has been distributing edible items, medicines and tools to protect people of the constiruency from COVID-19 and ease their problems during COVID-19 pandemic at least to some extent apart from extending help to farmers.
All these public oriented activities were initiated in coordination with local clubs and organisations, he said, adding that health camps would be conducted soon in different parts of the constituency so that patients who could not go to hospital for treatment due to the pandemic could avail basic healthcare service.
He also appealed to people to strictly follow SOPs issued by the government for containing COVID-19 so as to collectively defeat the virus.
