MPP observes 49th foundation day

The Manipur People's Party (MPP) observes its 49th foundation day at the party office today.
Speaking at the function, Party President N Sobhakiran Singh said that history of Manipur could be described in two part as pre and post merger where during the pre merger states Manipur state has its own product without depending on other but unfortunately after Manipur became a part of India which is post-merger status, Manipur began to depend on other states mainly in the field of productions.
Party President also said that the current ruling government has failed to root out ways to bring development in Manipur State to compare with the current trend.
Even in the political ground, without the indulgence of National Party, the government act like a handicapped, which the public are now aware, he added.
N Sobhakiran further said that many who have been the members of MPP seems to joined the party to understand and learn politics only to be a part of other political party but one should not forget that the aim and objective of MPP is the welfare of the people of Manipur State and to being changes in the society which the public have been dreaming for long.
The current members of MPP are those who strictly follow the rules and regulations of the party and assured to be a part of it till the end, he added.
Party president N Sobhakiran Singh, Senior vice-president O Jugindro Singh, Vice President Y Bhim SIngh, M Amutombi Singh, Y Priyokumar Singh and P Jamini Devi, President of Chanura Marup, MPP graced the function as president and guests of honour respectively.
Hoisting of the party flag and floral tributes to late party members marked the celebration.
