Medical kits gifted to JNIMS, essential items to needy face masks to Naharup Youth Moral

New Delhi-based Safety Appliances Manufacture Association (SAMA) Covid Care handed over six boxes of medical kits including eyewear, face shields, FFP2 masks, gloves, nasal cannula, oxygen mask with tubing, PPE Coveralls, PPE kit, surgical masks, disposable apron/ gown and poly glove to JNIMS department of surgery professor Dr N Jitendra.
The medical kits have been arranged after taking help from Dr Jitendra's friends and doctor colleagues staying in the USA and UK.
After the medical kits landed at Imphal Airport on Wednesday afternoon, the same was handed over to JNIMS medical superintendent professor Kh Lokeshwor by Teachers' Association JNIMS.
Mention may be made here that ten oxygen concentrators were also donated to the chief minister on Tuesday by Professor N Jitendra with help from his friends in the USA and UK.
Meanwhile, Kshetrigao AC MLA Nahakpam Indrajit handed over medical requirements needed in combating Covid-19 including oxygen cylinders, oximeters, PPEs, hand sanitizers, hand gloves and Development Association, Naharup Mayai Leikai, Ching-tam Social Worker Union, Bamon Kampu, Huirem Leikai Sports and Youth Development Organisation, Eastern Youth Welfare Organisation Bamon Kampu Awang Leikai and Wakha Youth Club.
On the other-hand, Langthabal MLA Karam Shyam donated Rs 10,000, a generator and other essential items at Covid vaccination centre set up at Health and Wellness Centre, Samurou while BJP Manipur Pradesh state council member and COVID 2nd Wave Fighting Task Force BJP Lamlai Mandal chairman Kh Ibomcha extended relief items to several households in Lamlai AC which have been declared as containment zone.
BJP Kisan Morcha vice president Dr Ksh Kala also distributed essential items to numerous households of Khundrakpam AC that have been notified as containment zone.
Similarly, Lilong Imphal West Municipal Council ex-chairperson L Lalmani along with Covid-19 Task Force Committee Ward no.8 distributed edible items to 700 Covid-affected households of the ward.
