FOH asks assaulters of Tangkhul girls to clarify

Condemning the assault on four Tangkhul girls who were on their way to the Airport at Kwakeithel by some women, Federation of Haomee (FoH) stated that those involved should be punished according to the law of the land and the group responsible for the wildcat agitation issue clarification.
In a release, FoH secretary publicity Dr Khomdon Lisham stressed the need to en-sure that the movement for justice is not deviated or sabotaged by those who could not differentiate between blood brothers and the enemy.
He pointed out that Anal, Aimol, Chiru, Chothe, lnpui, Kom, Kabui, Kharam, Khoibu, Koireng, Liangmei, Lamkang, Maram, Mao, Moyon, Monsang, Maring, Purum, Paomei, Rongmei, Tangkhul, Thangal, Tarou and Zeme are among the indigenous communities of the land and assaulting them amount to gross ignorance of the land and their blood relations.
In addition to it, Coordinating Committee of Club & Meira Paibi of South Eastern, Thoubal convenor was also assaulted at Naodakhong on Thursday.
So, there is urgent need to maintain peace and calm so as not to divert the movement.
Stating that the Kukis tried to mislead Kom community by driving out the Kom people from Kangathei Kom village in Bishnupur and fortifying it, he further highlighted the need to bring an understanding between the blood brothers.
He also suggested that the people paste name of their communities in their vehicles till return of normalcy in the state.
