Intending candidates hold conclave, booth meeting

Imphal, November 21 2021: Intending candidate in Khurai A/C Khagokpam Khamba organised a youth conclave at his Khurai Awang Kongpal Laishram Leikai residence on Sunday.

Speaking at the programme, Khamba opined as youth are the pillars of the nation they need to be led to the right path so as to ensure better future of the society.

It is the right time to .know the responsibilities of youth in the bringing positive changes in society, he said and advised the youngsters to remain ever vigjlant so as not to fall into the trap of some candidates who only pretend to love them during election season.

He urged the people, the youth in particular, to thoroughly discuss the activities done by the candidates for the people and their objectives before casting their valuable votes.

The conclave was attended by central election committee Khagokpam Khamba president Thokchom Manibabu, advisor Takhelmayum Nabachandra, working president Elangbam Manglem, election committee and core committee members among others.

Meanwhile, BJP intending candidate in Langthabal A/C P Somorjit election campaign committee and booth committee organised a meeting at LCYCCI hall located at Lilong Chajing Pukhri Achouba Mapal.

Speaking at the meeting, Somorjit clarified about the false information being allegedly spread by some intending candidates that he will not contest the upcoming election.

Such narrow minded politics should not be done, he said and affirmed that he would definitely seek mandate of the people.

Pointing out that the BJP is not a market for ticket, he maintained that it is principle-based organisation and does not betrays the trust of hard working and sincere karyakartas.

Somorjit also expressed hope that he will surely get the BJP ticket and contest the election.

As such, all the rumours about not contesting the election are baseless, he added.
